Golf history: Started playing golf in high school at Schenectady Muni. For the last few

years, played 9 holes per week in a league at Orchard Creek in Altamont.

Noteworthy: My wife Diane and I live in Guilderland and I can break up the 40 minute drive to or from the

course by stopping in Burnt Hills to visit my 2 granddaughters. Besides

golf, I like to ski, play basketball and boat on Lake George.

Work: Mike operates a consulting company and Joyce is an editor at the Times Union

Hometowns: Joyce is a native of Troy; Mike grew up in Clifton Park. Lived in Philadelphia, Tampa and Chicago and moved back to the Capital Region 18 years ago.

Education: Both went to Catholic Central High School in Troy and met there. Mike graduated from Siena and Joyce graduated from Temple University.

How long have you been playing golf?: Both joined leagues for first time 5 years ago. Joyce can't play enough. Mike is still working as a consultant full time and plays occasionally.

Other interests: Working out, Guinness beer (not in that order); horse racing ("owners" in West Point Thoroughbreds); watching son John play lacrosse; going to daughter's art shows; Siena and UAlbany basketball fans; Mets, Rangers and NY Giants football; live rock music.
